Jay Spiegel

Nursing Home Administrator

Jay Spiegel, LHNA originally from Los Angeles, California he now proudly calls the east coast his home. Jay was drawn to work in healthcare after witnessing the amazing care that his grandmother received. Jay is driven to assure the same high-quality care for his patients and their families. Jay is a hands-on administrator and enjoys the day to day challenges in this ever-changing field. When he is not working Jay enjoys time at home in Jackson, NJ with his wife and son. He is also an avid NFL fan and supports his favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Debbie Ferry RN, BSN

Director of Nursing

Debbie Ferry RN, BSN is the Director of Nursing at Rosewood Gardens. Debbie has many years of experience working as a Director of Nursing in skilled facilities as well as CCRC’s in Chester and Delaware counties. Debbie is passionate about working alongside the nursing department and is proud of the team at Rosewood Gardens that is devoted to provide exceptional care to the residents. Debbie earned her BSN from Villanova University and lives outside of King of Prussia.

When Debbie is not working she enjoys the company of her husband, 2 adult children, her 4-year-old grandson, and likes traveling and spending time at the shore, and of course, watching her favorite teams Villanova and the Phillies!

Joan Marie Hess, LSW

Director of Community Relations

Joan Marie Hess LSW is the Director of Community for Rosewood Gardens.
She received her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and her graduate degree from Temple University. She has been proudly serving the Senior population since 1985, working as a Social Worker in many roles including Home Care, Hospice, Senior Health Services and as a Discharge Planner for the CCMC System for 25 plus years. During that time she was awarded Employee of the Year at the DCMH Division.
She then branched out to the long term care field as a Clinical Liaison and Marketer. One of her passions in this role is to provide education to the County Senior population through workshops on Advance Directive education, VA benefits and as a member of the DC3 Cares Coalition.

She has been a resident of Media PA since 1985 and is a member of Nativity BVM Church.
When she is not working she enjoys spending time focused on rescue dogs, gardening, experimenting in culinary arts, hiking and visiting her 2 adult daughters on the West Coast.
